Nosotros have used VCA for years. Our animals accept had some recent wellness challenges and the staff at VCA has been amazing. I only love them. They are concerned and caring from the moment we walk into the door to when we get out. I don't feel similar we're just a number to them. The doctors will phone call us to cheque on the animals and communicate with united states through phone calls and emails. I know if I accept a health upshot, business concern or emergency with our fur babies, they are there to support us, to provide excellent care, respond our million questions and to listen. We've used the VCA for many years, I recall 23 years. In every experience their professionalism has been wonderful. We've had 3 dogs during these years and the VCA was there for the normal, routine stuff, that anyone can handle, only as well for those heartbreaking times we all dread. Their handling of those times is truly amazing. They empathize the emotions you are going through and assistance in whatever ways they are able to perform. They even practice the small things that you would never remember of, such every bit taking a paw print and posting the pet's name and date onto a casting to exist flamed then that young kids have something to remember. Every staff fellow member we've worked with over the years is a caring individual that loves animals and does all the things yous demand them to practise to keep your family safety and complete. Every single meet I've had with the VCA Beast Hospital has been above and beyond. Our commencement visit was unfortunately emergent that resulted in my family unit having to put our beloved dog Maizy down, simply they were so kind and supportive throughout the very difficult few hours we were there. Nosotros have go consistent patients since then, taking each of our dogs there for continued care. My brother also brings his domestic dog in for appointments. Over the by 3 years, every single encounter I accept had at the Castle Stone VCA with my cats has been in a higher place my expectations. I first went to the hospital in an emergency situation. My true cat had been given also much fluid during a preventative dental cleaning at another vet (who shall remain nameless) and was suffering acute heart failure. Though they did non know me or my true cat, we were treated with immediate compassion and current intendance standards as soon as nosotros arrived -- after hours. Sadly, I lost my cat that night, but not because the VCA didn't do their best. They and so made all of the arrangements for me after, and the staff was so organized and caring, they made a hard process bearable. I decided to accept my other two cats to the VCA from then on. And since then, I have had only peachy experiences even though my cats are aging and accept health problems. Both cats have had routine intendance, of course, only also surgeries and infections that required advanced intendance. I have found consistently that the VCA staff -- veterinarians, techs and admins -- are on top of their game. They listen carefully, offering multiple options when possible for care, and always follow up. In addition, they become above the requirements of treat you - the human involved - past making sure you understand what your animal needs and why. I accept lived in two countries and three states since owning my cats. I have seen many vets nether different circumstances and feel I can say with some degree of comparison that the VCA staff is the best all around that I accept e'er worked with. I would caution those who want only a shiny facility to make themselves feel they are getting the best intendance. The Castle Rock VCA offers advanced services with reasonable prices, and the staff makes sure you and your animals are cared for and want to return. I can't offer a higher recommendation. Read Less

I highly recommend VCA and their personnel. Dr. Cox, Dr. Romano, Sonya, Cyrus, and Brittany H. were absolutely awesome. Our Cairn Terrier was in serious physical trouble and we were allowed to see her ten-rays and were explained in particular what was going on. Dr. Romano stayed in touch with me several times on the 8th of January 2017, and we went to VCA immediately. After explaining all possibilities, and bug that it would cause for her health, my wife and I decided we did non desire to meet her suffer anymore. We got to talk to her, pet her, and simply spend some final remaining fourth dimension with her. Chairs were brought in for the states as my married woman and I wanted to hold her as she passed. No rush was placed on us, and we then asked Dr. Romano to brainstorm. He administered the first shot, and so put her in my artillery, then did the second shot. She passed. The staff told us to take as long every bit we needed, and my married woman and I got to hold her for a considerable corporeality of fourth dimension. We then placed her back in the muzzle. I asked the staff if I could go out her first ever stuffed animal that she had for xiv 1/2 years and they said that she would exist cremated with information technology. I want to thank all of the staff that was involved for your compassion, your caring, and your understanding. You were all outstanding. Although it is nice to have a place close by that is open 24/7, we volition non be returning for any futurity emergencies. We brought our puppy in for vomitting and pain, and a few days later chosen back when she began vomitting blood. The office staff was very rude to me and I proceeded to call other offices in tears until I found ane that would take usa. The function we ended up going to was very dislocated and concerned as to why the VCA did not send united states home with whatsoever medications or feeding instructions. All the VCA wanted to do was perform some other $500 xray. When I asked what another xray would prove, the response was, "Obstructions... and other things...". Obstructions were already ruled out, and I did not experience to be in skilful hands looking for "other things". Our puppy's problem was fixed with minimal treatment at the other office. I would have been more willing to return to VCA if they had not brought me to tears when I called. They were not willing to diagnose the problem in a practical way. Read Less

I would Highly Recommend this place to anyone who truly loves their pet and wants them to be treated with the utmost love and respect. If I could requite you lot more stars than only five , believe me I WOULD! My family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your 18-carat kindness and care will never be forgotten! Last dark was one of the hardest days of my life & my family's. We took our sweet domestic dog, Bear, in believing we were going to schedule a surgery for him ("thanks" to Banfield Hospital @Petsmart) :-( . Instead, the end effect was having to put him down. Not at all what we were expecting!! All of the support staff and the veterinarians were absolutely the kindest, virtually caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, & professional people I accept had the opportunity to deal with!! Dr. Jennifer Roberts is very thoughtful, kind, patient, knowledgeable & she was very honest with us near Bear's condition. She talked my family & I through all of the possible options and scenarios and then allowed my family & I the time we needed to procedure in order to make the best decision for our cherished Bear. We certainly wish she had been the md for our Bear from the beginning! We were his Forever Home and he was our Forever All-time Friend!! The Staff at VCA was also incredible!! I had lots of questions and cost concerns about neutering my rabbit. Doc Roberts helped me out with comparison prices to other clinics, and presented me with an estimate comparable to all the other clinics. She was very knowledgeable about rabbits and made me feel at ease. When I dropped my rabbit off the staff was slap-up with handling him and Dr. Roberts did a great job! I finally found a great clinic to have my rabbit to and I highly recommend VCA Douglas county. Dr Roberts and the staff were slap-up and a joy to talk to. Read Less

I wish I could requite these guys a better review. I took my GSD to the emergency vet effectually two in the morn and the vet (I don't think he works at that place anymore, unfortunately) was great and very informative. He did not attempt to rip us off and told us all the different reasons she could be sick and what we should practise well-nigh it. I and then had to have her in once more because a massive tumor showed upward overnight. I made an engagement alee of time and also printed off the "Free Outset Examination" coupon, since it wouldn't count for the emergency appointment. Dr. Roberts was pushy almost getting the tumor surgically removed earlier even testing if it was benign or not. It wasn't bothering my dog and wasn't interfering with her daily life. She was very opinionated nigh getting it removed because it was "ugly," (which she said several times). This would be at least a $1500 surgery for a tumor (that well-nigh likely is benign) because information technology was "ugly." I asked for a quote to just go it checked to see if it was even cancerous. She got me one, but said "if I were you, I would just get it removed and skip the other steps." I told her I would talk about it and come up back if we decided to do anything. And so when I went to check out, they wouldn't honor the coupon considering just certain veterinarians honor the coupon. This is VERY deceiving on the website, which plastered all over says outset wellness exam gratis. No where does it say (not even in minor impress) that information technology is only honored by SOME veterinarians. So I was very disappointed about the feel and had to pay for the wellness exam, which, with the coupon, I was non expecting to have to do. Also, since the tumor isn't an event (co-ordinate to the vet, it'south just "ugly") it was a waste of money. I will exist going to a new vet from now on, that isn't in it just for the money and doesn't endeavor to push button you or is opinionated on i particular (or well-nigh expensive) handling about YOUR OWN dog and the decisions you make for it.
